Someone To Pray For Me is a site offering one simple thing – and the clue is in the title. If you’re in pain, struggling with life, facing a big decision or asking the big questions, then we would love to pray for you.

We believe that there is a God, and that he is the God described in the Bible. We believe that because of His Son Jesus, he relates to us as friends, and that through his Holy Spirit he can intervene powerfully in our lives.

What does that mean in practice? Why not take a look around the site, and then get in touch with your prayer request – either by email, or by posting a public comment to one of the articles. You don’t have to be religious – or even believe in God – but we sincerely hope you find what you’re looking for.

Does prayer work?

No-one can claim to answer that question unequivocally. All I can do is reflect two truths from my own life:

1) I have seen things that I have prayed for come to pass, by God or by coincidence, on every scale imaginable – from physical healing and the safe recovery of a long-missing person, to the right product being available in a store when I needed it.

2) When I don’t pray, the ‘coincidences’ don’t seem to happen as much.

The Bible tells us that God wants us to come to him in prayer with our requests, and importantly, he says that he will answer them. In Matthew 7 v 7-8, Jesus suggests we:

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Those two verses underpin this site. If you’re struggling right now – in any way, then why not let us pray for you? Seriously, why wouldn’t you? What’s the harm?

Drop me an email (absolutely confidentially, of course), or if you’re feeling brave, post a comment here with your prayer request and as much detail about yourself as you’re prepared to share. Then sit back, safe in the knowledge you’ll be prayed for – or join in and pray yourself.

Please do get in touch and let us know what happens!
